Barn Name:

Cali was one of our first goats, and we were quite smitten with her. She was also special to us because she was the first goat to kid on our farm! She was our herd queen and queen of our hearts too!

She was born in April 2020, and stood just over 26 inches at the withers in February 2022 at almost 2 years old. Cali's coat pattern is buckskin and she carried black. She also had frosted ears and nose and a white poll. In April 2021, she freshened with a single buckling the very first goat kid born on our farm. Over the course of her first lactation, which was just over 200 days, she produced over 600 pounds of milk at an average of 5.7% butterfat! For her second freshening in 2022, she gave us beautiful twin doelings from our herdsire Texas Tykes Ruger. We retained one doeling, CFFTX TTR Sparkling Ruby, while her sister, CFFTX TTR Ella, went to a nearby farm. In 2023, Cali freshened with buck/doe twins sired by TNF Ranch Rhode Dendrun, and we retained her daughter, CFFTX RD Cali's Starry Night. Unfortunately, we lost Cali a few months later due to complications from the difficult delivery.

In 2022, Cali earned her milk star designation, AR*D, in 305-day testing from TMGR by producing 1,122 pounds of milk and 59 pounds of butterfat in 196 days!

Cedar Creek Birthday Surprise Sully

Sully is the sire to several of our goats on the farm! He's a stunning guy with moon spots galore and some of the best lines in the Mini Nubian world behind him! He is also polled, though the three goats we have from his line all have horns, and have been disbudded. Sully spent time at Goat Trails at Cedar Creek, and they have a page of his lineage with some great photos here.
